About Us
The Destination Osoyoos Development Society is an integrated regional tourism and economic development agency. Destination Osoyoos is a non-profit grassroots organization, governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors, which works closely and collaboratively with Town Council, the Regional District Okanagan-Similkameen, Tourism BC, businesses, and groups to support the economic, physical, social and cultural well-being of Osoyoos. The organization is designed to reflect the wishes and aspirations of the citizens of the Osoyoos Area, through an extensive community consultation process.
Vision
Destination Osoyoos is an integrated regional tourism services agency that has a vision to enhance the quality of life in the Osoyoos area through development and promotion of a sustainable, thriving, successful community.
Guiding Principles
Partnering with the Town of Osoyoos, Rural Area A and Tourism BC to encourage tourism by:
- Enhancing the quality of life and environment which Osoyoos and area residents enjoy;
- Utilizing the area's strengths, including its strategic location, climate, diverse economy, and unique environment;
- Encouraging a wide range of education, employment, and affordable lifestyle opportunities for all permanent and seasonal community members.
