Destination Osoyoos & The Osoyoos Visitor Centre Grand Opening!
Destination Osoyoos hosted a celebration on Saturday April 7th to commemorate the grand opening of the Osoyoos Visitor Centre, located at 9912 BC HWY 3.
Destination Osoyoos was joined by stakeholders, community members, mayor and council as well as visitors in celebration of official Grand Opening of the new Osoyoos Visitor Centre. Guests enjoyed free hotdogs, cake, wine tastings from Moon Curser and Bordertown wineries, and spirit tasting from Tumbleweed Spirits. The national award winning art quilter, Leslie Forbes, was also in attendance showing off her wonderful rendition of Spotted Lake, in quilt, which appears on the 2018 Osoyoos Visitor Guide. Dyawen Louis, an interpreter at Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre, also performed a ceremonial First Nations dance for the audience.
The new building has many advantages for Destination Osoyoos compared to their previous location at 8701 Main Street, including higher visibility and higher visitor traffic, which means that Destination Osoyoos is able to assist even more visitors and provide them with exceptional information about what to see and do in Osoyoos.
It is also a great way to promote stakeholders, as Destination Osoyoos has offered free racking to all Osoyoos based businesses.
