Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad

Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad

As a kid Poul always wanted to have a train set, but the dream never came true. When he became an adult he never forgot his dream and he started to collect Marklin trains. After marriage to Ulla and later one child Lotte, he became really serious about his trains. In fact he was so bitten by the train bug, that every house they build had to have a very big special room about 2000 square feet set-aside just for the train set.

A World Class Miniature Wonderland. Experience 4000 sq ft. of family fun with up to 40 computer controlled trains traveling on 2 km of tracks weaving through mountains and towns.

When you come to visit our train display be sure to look for the little rabbits on one of the hill sides. We also have a bungee jumper and there is a very naughty little boy who is running away with his mommy’s bikini top! Be sure to also check out the underwater activities especially at night time. Look for the monkeys in the ZOO, as well as all the other animals. At the Circus find the girl balancing on the high wire. At the Monster Truck track there is even a Smart Car Monster Truck! In the winter scene there is Heli-skiing happening as well. We also have indoor soccer, and an indoor swimming pool. Look for the Zip-line and the stork flying around its nest in the ZOO. We now have 26 interactive sensors which you can activate by placing your hand in front of a censor.

Discover the 16000 + hand-painted little people and animals in scale 1:87 (HO) placed in humorous and funny situations and scenes.

You’ll be impressed with the devotion to detail and the charm and humor of the presentation.

The Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad is Canada’s largest Marklin lay-out, with up to 45 computer controlled trains running through very detailed landscaping with European style towns and houses. Come step into a WORLD CLASS miniature fantasy world!

As something completely different we have a car system running on some roads and we are the only public display in North America with that feature. So come check it out – it is like magic!
