Mobile Visitor Services in Osoyoos, BC

Destination Osoyoos Goes Mobile!

At the start of the 2017 Summer season, Destination Osoyoos launched a Mobile Visitor Services Model to deliver tourism and visitor services beyond the typical 9 to 5.

With our ever growing social media following, we have been utilizing outlets such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to be the main hub of information for people looking to get their visitor questions answered in real time.

We have also been encouraging people to use our online tools such as our interactive map and downloadable visitor guide – making it easy for travelers on the go to find out information on Osoyoos.

Roaming Visitor Services

Destination Osoyoos went mobile in more ways than one for 2017! This year, we launched our wandering visitor services for the first time ever in Osoyoos.

Visitor service staff spent the Summer around town from Friday-Sunday to approach people and provide information on the area, with our Visitor Centre open 7 days a week in July and August.

So far, Destination Osoyoos has served over 3,700 visitors for 2017 through our wandering visitor services, visitor service centre, and social media channels, compared to 3,172 visitors served in 2016.

With the busy Summer season coming to an end, Visitor Services will now operate Monday to Friday 9:30-4:30 at 8701 Main Street in downtown Osoyoos.
