Kick off the 2018 Oyster Fest weekend with the Beach BBQ & Brews Festival! Join us on the Walnut Beach Patio for a BBQ style buffet while you sip some of the South Okanagan’s best Brews, Craft Ciders and a signature Canadian Whiskey cocktail.

Featuring the best of East & West Coast seafood, fresh Oysters from Cod Father’s Seafood Market, and traditional BBQ fare. Receive a complimentary tasting glass upon arrival.

Being held on the patio and courtyard of Watermark Beach Resort with an incredible view of Osoyoos Lake, the Osoyoos Oyster Festival Deep Sea Garden Party is unlike any other event in the festival. Sample amazing culinary delights from under the sea and sip exceptional wine and beer from our local wineries and craft breweries. Once again we are honoured to have special guest Patrick McMurray “Shucker Paddy” in attendance. Patrick is a former World Champion Oyster Shucker and owner of The Ceili Cottage Restaurant in Toronto. He will be shucking fresh oysters, courtesy of Codfathers Seafood Market, alongside Outlandish Shellfish Guild and Effingham Oysters, both visiting from Vancouver Island. Roasted pork will also be available courtesy of Jesse Croy of Two Rivers Meats. New this year is the addition of the Garden Market. Local vendors will be offering samples as well as products for sale  including a Pint o’ Prawns featuring BC spot prawns.

Incredible oyster creations will be served from local restaurants by our local chefs, as well as fresh shucked oysters and charcuterie offerings all evening as well as wine samples from the area’s award winning wineries, all happening at Spirit Ridge Resort. Special guest Patrick McMurray “Shucker Paddy”, former World Champion Oyster Shucker and owner of The Ceili Cottage Restaurant in Toronto, will once again be making the trip west and be shucking fresh oysters, courtesy of Codfathers Seafood Market. Guests are encouraged to come in costume, there will be awards for Best Costume as well as Best Dish and Best Pairing. Reception 6pm-7pm – join us in the courtyard for wine tastings and light canape service. Gala Event begins at 7pm, with food and beverage stations offering until 9:30pm. Fresh shucked oysters will be available all evening. A cash bar, DJ and dancing will round out the evening which will end at 10:30pm. Grab bags will be available to purchase for a chance to win genuine pearl jewelry, cash prizes, gift cards and more! Shuttle service to and from the event is included in the ticket price. Saturday April 21st: Tide to Table Seafood & Spirits
3:30 pm – 6:30 pm @ The Holiday Inn & Suites Osoyoos

The Holiday Inn & Suites has teamed up with Sol Grill Room & Lounge, Tumbleweed Spirits, & Codfathers Seafood to bring you the ultimate seafood experience as a part of Oyster Fest 2018. Join us at this rustic seafood event featuring the almighty oyster! Find a variety of cooked, drunken, & freshly shucked oysters, as they have been prepared to the pinnacle of perfection. Paired with locally sourced and made spirits, wine, and brews. Saturday April 21st: Amateur Shuck ‘N Suck Competition
9:00 pm @ The Sage Pub

Come to compete or come to cheer at the 6th Amateur Shuck n Suck Competition as teams of two compete to win the coveted title of the Best Shuck ‘n’ Suck Team in the Okanagan!  One team member shucks while the other sucks back the oysters.  Whichever team shucks and sucks the most oysters before the clock runs out wins. Sunday April 22nd: Sunday Brunch
