Spring Open House at Checkmate Winery

We invite you to join us at the winery for a celebration of the new growing season and five years of Winemaking at CheckMate. Try to Escape From the Vinstitute! 

May 1 – 12 | Intersection Estate Winery | $30
Guests are locked into the Vinstitute classroom for one hour (with a glass of wine – of course) to try and solve mysteries and riddles and discover a lost vintage of Intersection wine that’s hidden somewhere in the room! Something Old, Something New

May 1 – 12 | Moon Curser Vineyards

Visit our Osoyoos East Bench tasting room to try Something Old, Something New – we will celebrate the launch of our spring releases, as well as look back and offer a daily selection of three library wines (both tasting and purchase; limited quantities). Get a chance to be the first to buy these new releases, and one of the few to smuggle the last of these precious library wines home! Join us daily during Spring Wine Festival! We may be offering different library wines throughout the festival so keep an eye out on our social media and stop by often! Tasting fees apply – 5 non-library release wines for $5.00 incl. tax, library wines $1.00 incl. tax per wine per person – waived with 1 bottle purchase. Click here for more details! 

 

 

Spring Wine Festival: Wine Flights and Bites

May 3 – 10 | Hester Creek Estate Winery | $25 per couple + tax
Available between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. Visit us during Spring Wine Festival and enjoy a charcuterie plate built for two, with local meats and cheeses paired with a flight of three of our award-winning wines. Reservations appreciated but not required. Chardonnay Tasting in the Caves

May 4 | Seven Stones Winery | $50

Rosé & Tapas Patio Launch at Miradoro

May 5 | Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek | $30+ tax
Olé Rosé! Spring’s in full swing and we couldn’t be more excited to host a spring patio launch from 11.30AM to 4:00PM on May 5 to celebrate the season! Come join us at Miradoro and enjoy a flight of delicious BC rosés from Tinhorn Creek, Grey Monk, Sandhill, Black Hills and Red Rooster, tasty tapas from locally-sourced ingredients, live music and stunning views of the South Okanagan Valley. Tickets $30 + tax, reservations required.

 

Cheese Making Class with Wine Pairing at Oliver Twist Estate Winery

Join Naomi De Ruiter, the Modern Milkmaid and Artisan Cheesemaker of Birdsong Farm in Enderby for a hands-on, cheese-making lesson. A fun and informative cheese and wine pairing session follows with Oliver Twist’s award winning wines, led by our in-house sommelier. You can take home your fresh cheese for Mother’s Day.
