Find yourself on the greens and in the centre of it all – rolling hills, sunny blue skies, lakes, vineyards, and orchards. Osoyoos is the ultimate desert destination and the perfect spot for your next golf getaway.
Here is everything you need to know to plan your Osoyoos spring golf getaway:
Osoyoos has two courses for you to explore, right within 5 minutes of the downtown core: The Osoyoos Golf Club and Sonora Dunes Golf Course at Spirit Ridge Resort. In the neighbouring community of Oliver, another two 18-hole courses await, with half a dozen more found throughout the South Okanagan.
Paired with a variety of accommodations – including first class resorts, beachfront hotels and motels as well as RV Parks, you can easily find the perfect property to fit your needs. Plus, you can save when you book one of our Osoyoos golf packages.
Perched above the Town of Osoyoos and sculpted into the desert mountainside, the Osoyoos Golf Club provides a unique golf experience in a truly stunning golf destination, surrounded by vineyards and orchards and on one of Canada’s warmest lakes.
Nestled in the rolling hills and lush vineyards of this unique region, the stunning 9-hole Sonora Dunes Golf Course is truly one of a kind. How to Plan the Perfect Osoyoos Golf Getaway:
1. Save on your stay with a golf package
From early spring until late fall, you can book an Osoyoos golf getaway package, and enjoy all that Osoyoos has to offer.
2. Book Your Tee Time in Advance
When planning your Osoyoos, be sure to book your tee time in advance. You can book both the Osoyoos Golf Club or the Sonora Dunes Golf Club easily online!
3. Get out early or late
With our desert climate, Osoyoos can reach highs of up to 30°C (86°F) in late spring, so it’s best to get out earlier or later in the day if possible to avoid the midday sun. This sentiment is especially true in the summer, and goes for early and late season golf as well – as many courses offer a lower rate for golf in the early spring and late fall.
4. Save time for wine
When in wine country, you have to check out at least one of our many local wineries. There’s nothing more rewarding than enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the vistas and valley below after a few rounds of golf. If wine isn’t your thing, Osoyoos is also home to North Basin Brewing Co. – Osoyoos’ newest brewery, owned by a local golf enthusiast!
