Here are 7 new experiences to try in Osoyoos and the South Okanagan for 2024:

1. Over the Fence Winery
Formerly Young & Wyse, Over the Fence Winery is a family-owned and operated winery embraces the art of farming. Each sip of their wines tells a story of dreams pursued, breathtaking moments, and the harmonious blend of passion and dedication that defines the family’s unique adventure. Visit for a tasting at the wine bar, or enjoy their scenic patio overlooking the vineyard.

2. The Off-Roading Experience at Area 27
The new off-roading experience at Area 27 will put participants to the test as they maneuver different levels of obstacles and challenges that represent features often encountered in off-road situations. Take on even more all terrain with Area 27’s newest edition, the Birds of Prey Off-Road Circuit and the ZR2 Academy, set amidst rolling vineyards and Area 27’s 4.83km road course.

3. Barn Owl Eatery
Barn Owl Eatery opened up in 2023 and and offers a delicious brunch menu with convenient and quick items made to order. Stock up on their breakfast sandwiches, fresh deli sandwiches, crispy potato bites (aka tater tots), coffee, cold brew, espresso, smoothies, baked goods, ice cream buns and much more before embarking on your day in Osoyoos.

4. Vasanti Wines
As a family deeply rooted in the farming tradition, Vasanti Wines’ story began in 1980, when the family’s father embarked on a life-changing journey from India to Oliver, B.C. On the very first farm he ever owned, they now proudly present Vasanti Estate Winery, a testament to their family’s commitment to this sentimental land. With over 20 years of experience as premium winegrowers in the South Okanagan, Vasanti Wines will be their first winemaking journey, working alongside esteemed winemaker Jason Parkes, who is well known for several wine projects throughout the valley. The new tasting room is expected to open just north of Oliver before summer 2024, but in the meantime visitors can purchase wines online!

5. Gino’s Coffee House
Formerly JoJo’s Cafe, this main street staple remains a must-visit when coming to Osoyoos. The cafe has recently undergone new ownership by a local family, with a commitment to sharing their late family member Gino’s warmth and joy in every aspect of the cafe. With plenty of new food and beverage offerings (plus a couple of old favourites) Gino’s Coffee House also offers live music and art events.

6. Peach Hill Farm Market Tours
Experience nature’s beauty at its finest with the captivating orchard tours at Peach Hill Farm, new for 2024! Nestled amidst lush greenery and serene lake views, the mixed fruit and vegetable orchard awaits your exploration. 7. Backroads Brewing Co.
Backroads Brewing has been brewing award-winning ales and lagers since March 2017 in Nelson and has now expanded with a second location in Osoyoos which opened in July of 2023. Located along the shores of Osoyoos Lake at the beautiful Watermark Beach Resort, the South Okanagan location is brewing up longtime favourites as well as some fun, unique-to-the-Okanagan styles.
