“Tourism is the industry that welcomes travelers from all over the world and creates unique and story worthy experiences for visitors to the area, while creating significant jobs and economic contribution to the local community. What is your personal interest in Osoyoos and Tourism?
“I am incredibly proud to live and work in Osoyoos. I am even more proud to share it with visitors who come for the same reasons I first did. As the owner of a business that is almost exclusively patronized by visitors, the quality and quantity of the experiences available to tourists and how they are packaged, branded, and marketed is incredibly important to me. Wakepilot if not the only reason my customers come to Osoyoos. Wakepilot is part of a larger offering. I benefit along with other operators in the market when the aggregate “Osoyoos” experience is promised (through Destination Osoyoos’ efforts) and delivered by local businesses as best as possible. A rising tide floats all boats.”

Osoyoos has become part of my identity and all of us who live here or who visit here share in that sense of community and belonging, and that is an important and positive experience for humankind.”

What is your personal interest in Osoyoos and Tourism?
“I have lived most of my life in the Osoyoos region and feel blessed to be able to continue living and working in the region. Tourism is the largest economical driver besides Agriculture and the three forms of government in our area. To not want to plan for and manage that economic driver that is so important to our livelihood would be a mistake. My business is all about tourism, but growing up here and having a family business operating for more than 40 tears, I know that tourism boosts many different businesses in our economy so that we all benefit from it.”
