Winter in Osoyoos offers tons of activities for locals to take in the fresh air and wide-open spaces found all over the South Okanagan. From visiting local attractions, to shredding the slopes at Baldy Mountain Resort, here are some fun things to do with family in Osoyoos this season.

1. Discover The Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad

Escape into the enchanting miniature world that is so much more than just trains. This attraction is great for people of all ages as there is plenty to see for kids and adults alike.
2. Experience the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre
The spectacular Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre constructed into a hillside in Osoyoos, BC. Extensive indoor and outdoor exhibit galleries create a fun, interactive learning environment with hands-on displays, education stations and two multi-media theatre experiences. 3. Ski or Board at Baldy Mountain Resort
Baldy Mountain Resort, known as a “locals” mountain, is a hidden treasure where plentiful powder rests seasonally upon the hill. Ski or snowboard through the perfectly spaced glades or on Baldy’s groomed runs as you gaze at the beautiful backdrop of endless mountain peaks ahead. The mountain is complete with a bunny hill and plenty of green runs, great for beginners of all ages!
4. Bowl at Kobau Lanes
Head on over to Kobau Lanes Bowling for an afternoon or evening of fun! Kobau Lanes offers 8 lanes of 5 pin bowling. The alley is also fully licensed, and partnered with Boston Pizza Osoyoos so you can make an evening of it and order your favourites straight to the bowling alley!
5. Try for a perfect score at the Coyotes Sport Simulation
Coyotes Sports Simulation is home to 33 different Golf Courses, including many on the PGA Tour. Practice on the driving range, take to a putting green or play some miniature golf. If golf isn’t your game, try to score on a hockey or soccer goaltender or pitch a baseball! Families can challenge each other at four laser shooting games, or let your imagination run free with 25 different Oculus virtual reality games.
