Skate & Sip at The District Wine Village This Winter

As the beauty of winter beckons, there’s a magical experience awaiting at the District Wine Village. Nestled in the heart of the South Okanagan, this must-visit destination seamlessly marries the enchantment of winter with the sophistication of fine wines, creating a unique experience for wine enthusiasts and outdoor adventurists alike.

This year, the District Wine Village has introduced an exciting addition – a brand-new skating rink that promises to delight!

Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a novice taking your first strides on the ice, the rink caters to all skill levels, making it an ideal activity for friends, couples, and families alike. The rink uses a synthetic skating surface called CAN-ICE, an excellent surface for introduction to skating for newcomers as it is simulates ice but accepts the novice as they learn while eliminating the concerns of cold, wet and abrasive ice.

Bring your own or rent (based on availability) for just $5 per pair. Check out the skating schedule and more info on the rink here.

Afterwards, immerse yourself in the warmth of the village’s charming wineries! Indulge your palate with a curated selection of wines, each sip telling a story of the region’s rich viticultural heritage. The winter ambiance adds an extra layer of coziness, making it the perfect setting to unwind.

The District Wine Village also has a craft distillery, Workshop Spirits, which features craft seltzers and amazing cocktails. For craft beer lovers, head to Neighbourhood Brewing to sample seasonals and mainstays. Foodies rejoice with Ward’s Wine Country Kitchen – serving comfort foods with a culinary twist.

This winter, escape the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary at the District Wine Village. The new skating rink paired with premium wine, spirit, and beer offerings makes for an unforgettable winter experience.
