Valentine’s Day Guide: What’s Happening Around Osoyoos

Valentine’s Day is coming up fast and we are trying to get ahead of the ball to help you avoid that last-minute scramble of feeling the pressure to do something romantic.

We’ve gone and rounded up some of the things being served, offered or presented at local establishments around Osoyoos in the name of love on and around February 14 so you don’t have to search high and low to impress your sweetheart.

A special three-course Valentine’s Day menu is being offered up at The Bear, The Fish, The Root & The Berry on Feb. 14th.

It costs $80 per person, with the option of adding “Love Me Some Vino” wine pairings for $27 per person.

Burrowing Owl Estate Winery Dinner & Stay Packages

Culinary Director Lee Humphries has created a special 3-course Valentine’s Dinner at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery.

The cost is $72 per person (Price does not include applicable taxes, beverages, wine, or gratuities).

In addition to the dinner, Burrowing Owl is offering Valentine’s Day stay packages for $333, which includes a night stay and a multi-course dinner.

15 Park Bistro Dinner

A special three-course meal is being served by candlelight on both Saturday, February 11th and Tuesday, February 14th. 15 Park Bistro will be taking reservations for both 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. seatings.

The meal costs $59 per person with the option of adding wine pairings for $35.

Nk’Mip Cellars Sweetheart Dinner

Nk’Mip Cellars invites you to join them on February 11th for their Sweetheart Dinner featuring an inspired 4-course dinner prepared by Chef Ian Stilborn and the culinary team, paired perfectly with a special selection of award-winning wines.

The meal costs $125 per person + tax + gratuity with a 15% discount for Wine Club Members. It runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If you want to step it up to the next level, the restaurant encourages guests to ask about the exclusive private dinner option in the grotto.

Terrafina at Hester Creek Winery

Terrafina at Hester Creek is reopening for the season just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 10th.

Chef Adair Scott & the culinary team will be offering a 3-course Valentine’s Day menu perfect to pair with great company and great wine (the regular dinner menu will not be available on this date).

3 Course Dinner will cost $75 per person with wine pairings costing $35 per person.

Valentine’s-Inspired Guided Wine Tasting at Tinhorn Creek

Head to Tinhorn Creek Vineyards for an exclusive and intimate event guided by the Head Winemaker Leandro Nosal on Friday, February 10th, to celebrate Valentine’s Day in advance!

Leandro will be guiding you through an unforgettable wine & chocolate pairing experience.

The cost of the event is $60 per person.

Shop V-Day Discounts at The Boutique

In order to kick off the month of love, The Boutique at the Osoyoos Visitor Centre has all jewelry and beauty products on sale at 15% off until February 4th! 

From February 7th to 14th, The Boutique will also be offering a 15% discount on anything that contains the colour red, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day with Rebel Luv

Looking to do something outside of a fancy dinner? There will be two options to take in the live music of Rebel Luv during the lead-up to Valentine’s Day.

First off, on Saturday, February 11, Rebel Luv will be performing as part of Valentine’s Dance being held at Osoyoos Elks Hall. Tickets are $25 per person and will include a buffet dinner. The event runs from 7 p.m. to midnight.

On February 14th, Rebel Luv will be performing at Venables Theatre in Oliver for a special Valentine’s Day show. Rebel Luv will be singing their way through years of romantic love songs and braiding their heart pulling originals into a storytelling journey of love and loss.

Winter Bonspiel at the Osoyoos Curling Club

While this might not be the most romantic option for Valentine’s Day, it certainly will be up there on the entertainment scale.

Over the weekend, from Feb. 10-13, a winter Bonspiel will be held at the Osoyoos Curling Club.

It is a fun way to watch some local curling and do something a little out of the ordinary. Expect some intense competition and some even more intense costumes as the nature of the Bonspiel is for people to dress up. There is also a licensed bar with a viewing area at the Osoyoos Curling Club.

Osoyoos Coyotes vs. Kamloops Storm

With their regular season winding down, why not use the lead-up to Valentine’s Day to book a sporty date with your loved one and take in an Osoyoos Coyotes game?

On February 10th, head to Sun Bowl Arena and watch the Osoyoos Coyotes take on the Kamloops Storm in a Kootenay International Junior Hockey League clash.

Trivia Night at The Sage Pub

While this is not a specifically Valentine’s Day-themed event, the weekly Tuesday Night Trivia at The Sage Pub will fall on the day of love itself and is certainly an option for date night.
